Dr. Solana Walkinshaw has been in her current role as CMO for PAMC since April of 2022. She is a board certified family physician and has held multiple positions at Providence for the past 17 years, most recently faculty and program director at the Alaska Family Medicine Residency here in Anchorage. She is a 2009 graduate of AFMR and after serving a year as chief resident, she moved to Dillingham, Alaska to practice full-scope rural family medicine for 3 years. She completed medical school in 2006 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, and before becoming a physician, she was a hospital pharmacist for 12 years. Her personal interests include hiking and camping all around Alaska, teaching winter survival, playing soccer and dabbling in watercolor painting.
